The Us Magazine site gets heavy traffic and was a challenge to work with. I needed to add new features to the site including photo galleries, microsites, contests, polls, and other tools. The site was originally done with Drupal, but has now come to be a mixture of technologies and systems. The CakePHP framework braces most of the site's photo gallery type features and helps sustain the heavy traffic.

The site also runs on Akamai and over the course of the site's lifetime, many things had to be done to keep it running. It took a team of people and a lot of tricks to keep it running under Drupal. This remains one of the largest sites ever built using the Drupal CMS.

The site was later migrated over to the Symfony framework and my involvement since was only to add or change around some features and further optimize/organize/refactor where possible, when needed.
